This tradition dates back over 1,700 years, defined by its signature black, red, and yellow tones. But under China's 15th Five-Year Plan for "High-Quality Development," Qiao is taking this ancient craft into the future. She is blending Yi techniques with modern culture, even stitching icons like "Nezha" and the "Sanxingdui" masks into her work. By using platforms like Douyin and Kuaishou, she is bridging the digital divide for women in remote ethnic areas, ensuring that "modernization" doesn't mean leaving their culture behind.
